Attendance/Absence
It is well known that attendance at school and attainment and achievement are directly linked. Evidence clearly demonstrates that pupils with poor attendance records fail to do well in national examinations.
Dundee City Council attendance procedures are aimed at improving and maintaining pupil attendance.
Parents are expected to contact the school on the first day of absence before 10:00 am, to keep the school informed and are requested to provide a written note when their child returns to school.
Failing all of the above you will receive a visit from the Education Resource Worker.
Computerised registration is made on a period by period basis. A text willl be used to alert a parent if their child is not present each morning.
Please encourage your child to attend school at all times even on the last day of each term. Family holidays are discouraged during term time.
